Cupcakes

By Morrisa Sherman

We don't care for politics,
Analyses, or uptakes.
We're clicking our heels.
We're turning cartwheels.
Bobango's making cupcakes!

Bobango crush vanilla beans,
And let the fragrance linger!
Bobango skim the butter off,
And lick it from your fingers!

Birdboy's grinding cinnamon.
Koki's beating egg-yolks.
Mitzi brings the fennel in,
And Fishie tells us new jokes!

Bobango stoke the oven coals,
And smile big and sunny!
Bobango taste the batter spoon,
And add more salt and honey!

We don't care for angry tales
And angst, and sturm, and drang-o.
We'll just wait with joyful plates
For cupcakes from Bobango!

Lori n' Mina made fresh stars!
